Whether you’re a passenger or commercial driver, ta travel center can be a great place to stop for fuel, food, and rest. They also offer a lot of other convenient services.
Founded in 1972 and headquartered in Westlake, Ohio, TA is the nation’s largest publicly traded full-service travel center network. Offerings include diesel and gasoline fuel, full service and quick-service restaurants, travel stores, car and truck parking, and more.
Fuel
TravelCenters of America (TA) is one of the largest full-service travel center networks in the United States. It operates 275 locations across 44 US states and one Canadian province.
They offer a wide variety of services, including fuel, quick-serve restaurants, maintenance and repair for trucks and groceries and convenience goods. They also offer their StayFIT health and wellness program at many of their locations, including gyms and outdoor exercising stations.
TA travel centers also offer laundry facilities for travelers to use. These smart laundromats are more than just a place to wash your clothes; they have state-of-the-art technology that helps you get your laundry done faster and cleaner than ever before.
TA truck stops are also a good option for RVers who need a place to refuel their trucks. The fuel station is typically just off a highway or interstate, making it easy for big rigs to access the site. However, if you’re towing a heavy trailer, you should check the parking lot before arriving at the truck stop.
Laundry
TA Travel Centers, and its parent company, Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores, make the task of laundry while on the road an easy one. Their 190 company-operated locations offer the latest in onsite self-service laundry technology. The facilities feature new machines, folding tables and hanging racks that can accept cash, credit or debit cards — and they even alert you via text message when your laundry cycle is done!
As for the quality of service you’ll receive at your local ta travel center, the company’s customer experience is second to none. They have an impressive assortment of amenities, including a variety of restaurants, a dog park and reliable Wi-Fi among others. They also have the biggest showers in the state, which makes them an excellent option for RVers, especially those with small children. The best part? They’re open 24 hours a day. We’ve got a list of the best ta travel centers around town, so be sure to check them out before you hit the road.
Showers
A truck stop can be a great place to get a shower. Most major truck stop chains such as TA, Flying J, and Love’s offer private showers in their facilities.
Depending on the location, you can pay for a shower and receive a ticket or code that alerts you when your room is ready. There may also be a lounge area where you can sit and wait your turn.
Another option is to use the app. Many major truck stop chains allow you to get wait times, reserve a shower, and pay for it all from the app.
TA Truck Centers, the second largest travel center chain with 163 locations, offers free showers to any driver who purchases at least 50 gallons of fuel. They also offer UltraOne credit after 60 gallons of fuel for higher-level members.
Food
If you’re on the road, you might need a quick pit stop to fuel up and grab some food. TA Travel Centers of America has restaurants in many locations.
The menu at TA’s full-service restaurant brands, Country Pride and Iron Skillet, includes flavorful dishes that feature regional inspiration and trending flavors. They also offer healthy options approved by Cleveland Clinic, highlighted with a heart-healthy logo.
Chef Maira Isabel has joined TA to guide the evolution of its full-service restaurant business. She is a best-selling cookbook author and chef on TV, and has experience in Puerto Rico.
TA’s restaurants generated $87.5 million in revenue in the third quarter, up 9.5% compared to the same period last year. The company added five IHOP locations and plans to introduce a new proprietary restaurant brand in 2022.
