Mark S. Peterson, M.D., F.A.C.S.
As a highly experienced and dedicated surgeon, Dr. Peterson is committed to treating arterial and venous disease with current state-of-the-art techniques. His approach is caring and communicative. Dr. Peterson ensures his patients understand and are comfortable with the methods he uses to treat vascular disease.
Following his Fellowship training, Dr. Peterson served 10 years as both a general/trauma and vascular surgeon in Corvallis, Oregon. Since 2000, Dr. Peterson has performed thousands of minimally invasive treatments for venous disorders. He is also highly experienced in minimally invasive treatments for arterial disease. He is considered one of Oregon’s few pioneering surgeons in the advanced treatment of varicose veins.
Dr. Peterson is a member of the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography and is a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation. This specialized training ensures oversight of accuracy and increases the level of care you can expect at Willamette Vascular laboratories. He is also a member of the Heart and Vascular Institute formed by Salem Health. This partnership of specialists in vascular care allows him to make quick referrals to Cardiologists and offers his patients access to a wide range of specialty care at Salem Hospital.
